About me

I’m a second-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a journalism degree within the Hussman School of Journalism and Media, and I am set to graduate in December of 2025.

I am a senior writer for The Daily Tar Heel, UNC-Chapel Hill’s award-winning student publication, as well as a staff writer for The Durham Voice under the acclaimed Carl Kenney II.

In addition to journalism experience, I worked as the director of public relations for Pardoned for Innocence, a legal advocacy group seeking to make restitution more accessible nationwide. Through that service, I’m comfortable with website building and Adobe tools.

I’m particularly interested in covering community journalism, focusing on educational policies, municipal politics, urban development, and local accessibility and inclusivity.

I am currently pursuing post-grad opportunities and networking within the journalism community.
